Review: Bath & Body Works Wild Citrus Sunflower Shimmer Mist and Body Lotion

One of the latest fragrances from Bath & Body Works has been on my must-wear list these past couple of weeks!  Wild Citrus Sunflower is a wonderful summery scent that’s all about the citrus and light on the musk.  The Body Lotion does not disappoint in the way of moisturizing and feeling light on the skin.  The scent lingers for a while and even longer when layered with another product, such as the Shimmer Mist or another of the fragrance mists.

This is my first encounter with a Shimmer Mist from Bath & Body Works.  Back in the 90s I rocked the body shimmer for just about every night out!  Back then it was typically called a “body glitter” but it’s the same effect.

You can see a close-up of the Shimmer Mist below and it is clearly full of shimmer/glitter.

Below you can see a close-up of my arm after a spritz of the Shimmer Mist, showing lots of shimmer/glitter.  In the sunlight, you will look quite glittery with this on!  Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that the glittery body look is not for me these days.  I’ll bet this is a big seller for the younger crowd just like it was for me when I was in my 20s.

The scent of the Wild Citrus Sunflower Shimmer Mist does not linger as long as the Body Lotion and the shimmer actually rubs off fairly quickly too(at least on my arms).  This is one of the those products that you would be spritzing on all night long to keep the effect.

Overall, I’ll stick with my BBW Body Lotions and Fragrance Mists and probably won’t venture into any more Shimmer Mists :).  You can find the Body Lotion ($11) and the Shimmer Mist ($14) at Bath & Body Works stores and online.
